Grants
Each year the New Orleans Town Gardeners supports a variety of programs through grants to not-for-profit organizations in the New Orleans area that enhance the mission of the Garden Club of America:
“…to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to share the advantages of the association by means of educational meetings, conferences, correspondence and publications, and to restore, improve, and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement.”
Apply for a Grant
We look forward to considering grant applications for our 2024 grant cycle. All applications and attachments must be submitted electronically via email to Linda Miller by Friday, December 15, 2023. Priority is given to funding for specific projects or incorporating well-defined objectives and timetables and promising public benefits.
Grant requests are reviewed by the NOTG Project Processing Committee, and you may receive a call for more information about your proposal. Grant decisions are made in the spring and funds will be distributed in summer 2024. Please be mindful of this timeline as you think about your proposed project.
We welcome opportunities to become involved in local projects that are aligned with our mission. If there is a potential for volunteer engagement with your project, please be sure to describe this in your proposal. Finally, all grantees will be asked to provide reports on their progress so we can celebrate your success together or help look for ways to navigate obstacles along the way.
Thank you for your passion and energy and for your work to benefit people and places in the New Orleans area.
