Grants

Each year the New Orleans Town Gardeners supports a variety of programs through grants to not-for-profit organizations in the New Orleans area that enhance the mission of the Garden Club of America:

“…to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to share the advantages of the association by means of educational meetings, conferences, correspondence and publications, and to restore, improve, and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement.”

Apply for a Grant

We invite you to apply for our 2023 grant cycle. The deadline for submitting proposals is January 20, 2023. Proposals must be physically in our possession on the deadline day, via email or mail, but the earlier we receive them the more carefully we can review them. Priority is given to funding for specific projects or incorporating well-defined objectives and timetables and promising public benefits.

In March, the Project Processing Committee will review the requests and then present their recommendations to the New Orleans Town Gardeners membership at the April general meeting. Voting will take place at the May general meeting and notification to submitting organizations shortly thereafter.
